Independence Day activities and more in July around Kitsap County

Two big fireworks shows have passed in Bremerton and Port Orchard, but there are several other Independence Day events planned in the community and a few other notable July festivals coming up.

Here's what to look for this week and later month:

Bainbridge Island’s Grand Old 4th of July

BHS Football boosters pancake breakfast (7-11 a.m. in the Town and Country west parking lot)

Bainbridge Youth Services Family Fun Run (9-11 a.m.)

  • 1 Mile (9 a.m. in front of Bon Bon on Winslow Way)

  • 5k (9:30 a.m. at Madison Avenue and Bjune)

  • Kids Dash (10:30 a.m. at Winslow Way and Madison Avenue)

Car show (9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lots behind Umpqua and Chase Bank)

Bainbridge Island Photo Club exhibit (10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Bainbridge Island Senior/Community Center)

Beer, wine and cider garden (11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Brien Drive)

Grand Old 4th Hometown Parade (1-3 p.m. at Madison Avenue and Wyatt Way)

July 4: Music and raffle (11:30 a.m.), parade (1 p.m.)

July 4: Pancake Breakfast (8-11 a.m. at the Kingston Cove Yacht Club)

Tiny Town and the Fun Zone Bouncy Houses (10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Village Green Park)

Fourth of July parade (12-1 p.m. on State Highway 104 from Lindvog Road and Washington Avenue)

Port Orchard Fathoms 'O Fun Festival

July 16: Hot Rods at the High School (9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Kitsap Bank Stadium at South Kitsap High parking lot, $20 pre-registration fee)

Kitsap Pride festival

July 22: Vendors and informational booths, food, and entertainment all day at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.

Bridging Bremerton 2023

July 29: A community walk on the Manette Bridge and Warren Avenue Bridge, hosted by Josh Farley (10 a.m.); Party in the Park (noon, at Evergreen Rotary Park); history pub crawl in Manette (4 p.m.)

Silverdale Whaling Days

July 28: Street vendors and food booths, beer garden (5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Old Town Silverdale); main stage entertainment Megan and Heidi and Backstreet Jellyroll (6 to 10 p.m. in Silverdale Water Front Park); fireworks (at dusk)

July 29: Whale of a Run (8:25 a.m., Silverdale Way at Silverdale Methodist Church); Lions and Kiwanis Grand Parade (10 a.m., Silvedale Way); Street vendors and food booths, beer garden (11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Old Town Silverdale); main stage entertainment by No Slack Jack (noon), Betsy and the Boys (2:30 p.m.), Jack Park and the Remedy (4:30 p.m.), Hot Spring Water (6:30 p.m.) and Joel Gibson Jr. (8:30 p.m.)
