Independence police search for 25-year-old missing since October

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Independence Police Department is searching for a missing 25-year-old with autism who hasn’t been seen since October.

Family last saw Drayton Fanning leaving a home near E. 37th Terrace and Queen Ridge Drive in October.

His family believes he might be with another man against his will. The last time Drayton was reported missing, he was located with that same man who is reportedly homeless.

Fanning is described as 6-foot-1, weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen in a white shirt, dark plaid pajama pants, white shoes and carrying a blue backpack.

Anyone who has seen Fanning or Erdahl is asked to call Independence police at 816-325-7332.
