Independence police search for man last seen in January
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Independence police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who hasn’t been seen since January.
Police said Irvin Banda-Silva was last in contact with his family around Jan. 7, and his family is concerned for his mental wellbeing.

Officials said he has been seen visiting homeless shelters in the past and could still be. Police did not release a last known location.
Silva is described as 6-foot-2, weighing 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police said he has a cross tattoo on the back of his neck, and he was last seen with a full beard and mohawk hairstyle.
