GOSHEN ― “Reparation,” a suspense film made in Putnam County, Ind., will be shown at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Goshen Theater, 216 S. Main St., kicking off a monthly series of independent films made in Indiana.

The 104-minute film tells the story of a troubled Air Force veteran who finds clues to his buried memories in his daughter’s art. At the same time, he confronts a mysterious stranger who shows up, claiming to have been his best friend from the military and who’s looking for answers of his own. Tickets cost $5 each and may be purchased at goshentheater.com or 574-312-3701.

The film results from a collaboration between writer/producer Steve Timm, a DePauw University professor of communications and theater, and writer/director Kyle Ham, a DePauw alum.

Goshen Theater is among six theaters statewide, so far, that are showing the Monthly Movie Nights film series from Hoosier Films, which was founded in 2018 and began hosting the Hoosier Films Annual Festival in 2020. The series will rotate between feature films and collections of short films. October will feature several spooky short films.

More venues are being sought for the series. Learn more at movienights.hoosierfilms.com.
