Indiana Residents Receiving Unemployment Benefits Will Have Provide Proof Of Job Search

The requirement is not new. It was lifted during the pandemic and is returning as many businesses say they're having a hard time finding workers.

- In just a few weeks, there will be a change for Hoosiers getting unemployment. Starting June 1, if you're getting jobless benefits in Indiana, you're going to have to show proof that you're looking for work. The requirement isn't actually new. It was lifted during the pandemic, but now it's back. Many businesses say they're having a hard time finding workers. Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan all require people to look for work while on unemployment.
