Indiana Teen Accidentally Whacks Dad While Practicing Football Near Basketball Hoop

An Indiana father was in the wrong sport at the wrong time last fall, when his teenage son threw a football that glanced off a basketball backboard and hit him in the face at their home in Noblesville.

Chris Whalen told Storyful he was helping his son Jack practice his long shot on their driveway in October of 2020 when the blunder occurred.

“As you can see, this one long snap sailed over my head and as I looked to track it, it hit the basketball backboard and ricocheted right into my face, injuring my nose,” Whalen said.

The video shows the mixed-up mishap, and Jack can be heard laughing at the situation before asking his father if he is okay.
