New Indiana welcome sign: Hoosiers react to new design coming to interstates
Travelers coming from out of state for the Indianapolis 500 will be welcomed by all new Interstate signs this year. While they used to be greeted with "Welcome to Indiana, Crossroads of America," they'll now be informed that there's "More to Discover in Indiana."
After the new theme and design were launched, Hoosiers had mixed reactions.
Here's what some of our Twitter followers had to say.
What was wrong with the prior signs? Why spend money where it’s not needed?

Bad colors, hard to read while driving, ugly, a waste of money, time and effort...

I’ve seen more exciting signage in a hospital waiting room.

I don’t care for them. The original is better looking, at least more colorful.

A few Facebook users also responded. Here's what some of them said:
Ann Campbell: "We need to stop relying on our postal abbreviation being a common preposition."
Steve Swango: "Basic"
Barbara Ettel Hurst: "I have seen better."
Michael Blades: "Meh"
