Update: This story was updated Feb. 1 to let readers know the event is sold out.

Tickets for the 37th annual Zoobilation at the Indianapolis Zoo went on sale Thursday at 9 a.m. and sold out within a half hour.

"For those who couldn’t purchase their tickets, we encourage them to go to our website and join the waitlist or to try again next year," public relations specialist at the Indianapolis Zoo Cody Mattox shared in an email Thursday morning.

When is Zoobilation?

Zoobilation takes place on Friday, June 14, 2024, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the Premium Experience presented by Ice Miller LLP and followed by general admission from 7 p.m. to midnight.

What is Zoobilation?

Zoobilation is self-proclaimed as the Midwest’s largest black-tie fundraising event. Zoobilation supports the Indianapolis Zoo’s animal conservation mission.

This event is the zoo’s largest single-day fundraiser and helps fund the care of the nearly 1,400 animals and 48,000 plants that call the zoo home, as well as its global conservation initiatives.

"For this single luxurious night, the Zoo’s familiar landscape of incredible animals and exhibits will be transformed with the rhythms of live music as well as the alluring scents of premium foods and beverages — providing the perfect party atmosphere," the press release said.

Guests will sip cocktails, wines and other drinks presented by Republic National Distributing Company and served at 15 public bars set up throughout the Indianapolis Zoo and sample the finest culinary creations from popular Central Indiana restaurants, all vying for Zoobilation’s coveted people’s choice and blue-ribbon awards.

Music will be provided by Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, with live entertainment featured on multiple stages throughout the zoo.
