Indie-groove band Goose coming to CSU for fall concert after 2 soldout shows at Red Rocks

Colorado State University is bringing the American indie-groove band Goose to campus for a concert Saturday, Oct. 7, the day after the second of its two sold-out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, school officials announced Wednesday.

Student tickets are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis while available through the Lory Student Center Box Office, using student's netID login. Only a limited quantity will be offered. The concert, offered in partnership with AEG Presents, will be held on the West Lawn of the Lory Student Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m., CSU said in the announcement on its online publication, Source.

General admission and VIP tickets, priced at $50 and $100 apiece, respectively, will be sold through on online lottery on the band’s website, www.goosetheband.com/tour. Lottery requests can be made any time before 3 p.m. Sept. 11, and all requests will be treated equally, regardless of when they were received. Winners will be notified at 4 p.m. Sept. 11. There is a two-ticket limit per order. Tickets are nontransferrable and will be issued the morning of the show. No refunds will be allowed, officials said.

“Northern Colorado’s thriving music scene is part of what makes our community so special and what makes Fort Collins one of the best college towns in the country,” CSU President Amy Parsons told CSU's Source. “We’re thrilled to be part of this broader ecosystem and to offer outstanding live music to all members of our campus community and the broader community.”

The concert entrance for students and general admission ticketholders will be at the intersection of Meridian Avenue and Plum Street. The VIP entrance will be at Meridian and University avenues. Food trucks will be on site, and two beverage gardens, serving alcohol for those 21 and older, will be available.

CSU’s clear-bag policy will be in effect, as will its usual prohibitions for campus events that prohibit smoking and e-cigarette use and other items. Additional information is available at visit.colostate.edu/concerts. Prepaid parking for the concert will be available for purchase through that website, beginning Sept. 11.

Goose, a five-member band from Norwalk, Connecticut, burst onto the music scene with its 2016 album “Moon Cabin” and has been consistently selling out its shows since 2019. The band released a second album, “Shenanigans Nite Club,” in June 2021, and a third, “Dripfield,” in 2022.

CSU has hosted a number of top musical performers over the years, including The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macklemore, Nico & Vinz, Ludacris, Chicago, Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.
