New indoor golf facility, Bergstrom expanding, Dale restaurant closes and more

Welcome back to The Buzz newsletter! I’m Brad Star, The Buzz reporter at The Post-Crescent.

The Fox Cities recently welcomed a new business looking to provide some socially distanced fun amid the COVID-19 pandemic. X Golf, an indoor golf facility on the east side, offers an extension of the golf season with lessons, simulated rounds, club fittings and more.

Last week, I spoke with Bergstrom Automotive president Tim Bergstrom, who said the company has big plans for 2022. They'll start by expanding their BMW and Mercedes-Benz Service center, construction of which will be complete by March.

In restaurant news, Still Wally's Still, a bar and grill in Dale, recently closed its doors after over a century of business.

If you're currently on the job hunt, JBS Green Bay is hiring at its meatpacking plant, and is offering free rides to the facility for Appleton- and Oshkosh-area residents, among other benefits. Green Bay Press-Gazette reporter Jeff Bollier has the story here.

Lastly, I gave some gift suggestions for Christmas shopping in the Fox Cities.
