A new indoor play park for kids is coming to Bradenton with floor-to-ceiling fun

Kids Empire, with about 50 children’s play park experiences in 16 states, has plans to expand into the Bradenton area.

Tenant space in the Cortez Plaza shopping center, 701 Cortez Road W., would be remodeled for a new Kids Empire store, according to paperwork filed with Manatee County Building Services.

The nearest business to the planned Kids Empire space is a Dollar Tree store.

Kids Empire offers floor-to-ceiling climbing walls, play structures, a drop-in ball pit, maze and tots area.

In the maze, children will find slides, bouncing, riding, spinning, creative building and more.

Currently the only Kids Empire in Florida is in the Miami Dolphins Mall. Another is coming to Pembroke Pines, according to the company website.

Kids Empire was founded in California by CEO Haim Elbaz.

“We are on our way to 40 openings for 2023 making the Empire 80 parks strong,” Elbaz says on his LinkedIn page.

Kids Empire offers individual admissions, party packages, kids snacks and kids meals.

The Kids Empire concept was launched in Southern California in 2016.

“The idea was to develop a model that was unique, fun and affordable so that families from all neighborhoods and all income levels could have an amazing time with friends and family,” according to the Franchise Help website.

Kids Empire would be located just down the street from Altitude Trampoline Park, 201 Cortez Road W.

Altitude Trampoline Park has 40,000-square-feet of trampolines and other attractions in space previously occupied by a Sports Authority store.
