In the first round of the Shelby County Tourney, the host Mohawks (6-4) built an 11-point halftime lead over the Spartans (3-7) to reach the championship game against Triton Central, which knocked off Morristown 59-38 in the other semifinal. Bryce Yarling and Lucas Mitchell combined for 39 points for the victors, with Mitchell racking up a game-high 21 points. Southwestern got 37 points from its two top scorers, Aiden Hartsell and Jordan Jones.

Carmel buried five 3-pointers, two each by Lach and Ava Carter, and yielded just one free-throw attempt for Center Grove.
