Infamous String-dusters, Jameson Rodgers headline Clive's first Greenbelt Music Festival

The Greenbelt Music Festival, a new outdoor festival coming to Clive May 19-20, brings 20 national, regional and local bands that will perform live throughout the two days.

The Infamous String-dusters, a 2023 Grammy nominee for “Bluegrass Album of theYear,” joins country star Jameson Rodgers as headliners for the festival.

Other acts for the festival include funk band Here Comes The Mummies, red dirt country act Read Southall Band, country artist Tigirlily Gold, bluegrass band Pert, jam band The Big Wu, bluegrass artist Big Richard, indie/alt band The Brummies, bluegrass band Tall Tall Trees, banjo bluegrass act Tray Wellington and more.

This new festival offers a large outdoor stage on an open grass field, with access to indoor activities and facilities at the Horizon Events Center, 2100 NW 100th St., Clive, as well. Aside from music, food trucks, vendors, a bags tournament, a silent disco, art installations and beverages are all part of the entertainment.

Festival passes go on sale Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. on greenbeltmusic.com. Entry passes for those age 13 and up start at $35 for one day and $65 for two-day entry. Children age 12 and under receive free entry into the festival.

The Greenbelt Music Festival will donate $5 of every festival pass sold to the Clive Community Foundation to revitalize the Clive Greenbelt Trail.
