Infamous tattoo-addicted mom stuns family with latest transformation

You can’t make this up.

A tattoo-addicted mother of seven — who has earned the title of “Britain’s most tattooed mum” — says recently covering her plentiful facial ink with makeup didn’t go over well with her youngest children.

Melissa Sloan, 46, from Wales, went viral in 2022 for boasting over 800 etchings. She got her first tattoo when she was 20 years old — her addiction to body art left her struggling to find work and banned from her local pub and her children’s school.

So it came as a surprise to her family when she slathered foundation over her multi-colored visage last month.

“None of them talked to me that day — the kids [were] having none of it,” Sloan told the Daily Star this week.

“They said, ‘Go back to your craziness, mom,'” she added. “It’s like they were looking at a different person, a stranger.”

Facebook commenters were kinder.

Sloan posted a pic of her fresh face to her personal Facebook page late last month and again on Jan. 6.

“Beautiful, but much prefer seeing your tattoos instead,” one person commented.

“Okay. That’s cool.. But I much prefer the real you…” another wrote.

Sloan has said she turned to tattooing to cover the “emotional scars” she sustained from being sexually abused as a child.

Her half-brother, Gavin Sloan, pleaded guilty to a string of sexual offenses against children and received a 21-year sentence in 2022, local media reported.

Sloan once estimated she has at least 100 tattoos on her face, earning her a ban from tattoo parlors that don’t feel comfortable tattooing her further.

She’s even taken to tattooing herself with a $150 ink gun she purchased from Amazon.

Sloan said five of her seven children have no contact with her because of her incessant inking.

Her youngest kids were taken aback when she covered her hearts, crucifixes, and other facial designs.

“I’ve got proper tattoo foundation,” Sloan explained to the Daily Star. “I had to put it on thick. I used half a tub. It was like thick cement, really thick.”

She continued: “It’s good to have a change. I get bored of these people telling me, ‘What’s that on your face?’ I thought I’d have a change, and I put it on Facebook, and people said, ‘Is that you?'”

It’s her kids’ reactions that stunned her.

“When [the makeup] came off again, they were back to normal — it should have been the other way around,” she noted.
