An infant missing in Texas for 41 years was found alive. Hundreds in Texas remain missing

The daughter of Florida couple Tina and Dean Clouse had been missing for more than 40 years, but officials say they have found her alive.

Tina and Dean Clouse, along with their infant daughter, had disappeared in 1981 when they moved from Florida to Texas. Police recovered the bodies of the two adults as part of a murder case, but they were not identified using DNA evidence until 2021.

After an extensive search, officials found that their missing daughter, Hollie, was still alive and living in Arizona. Police are still investigating the cause of the Clouses' deaths.

Although one child has been found decades later, there are still many others in Texas who remain missing. Here are a few of them:

Rachel Cooke, missing 20 years

Rachel Cooke vanished when she went jogging near her parents' home in Georgetown on Jan. 10, 2002.  She was 19 years old at the time of her disappearance.

In 2021, close to the 19th anniversary of her disappearance, The Williamson County Sheriff's Office reported they were searching for a man who may have information on the case.

The man is known to have been an associate of Cooke's while she was in Georgetown and is also believed to be involved in the cattle and horse industry, according to an earlier Statesman report.

The sheriff's office and the FBI are offering up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Cooke. If anyone has any information concerning Rachel or the person of interest, please call 512-948-2911 or the cold case tip line at 512-943-5204.

Jason Landry, missing since December 2020

Jason Landry, a 21-year-old Texas State University student, left his apartment in San Marcos the night of Dec. 13, 2020, to drive to his parents' home in Missouri City for winter break.

He never made it home. His vehicle was found crashed and abandoned with his personal belongings near Luling, a small town in Caldwell County south of Austin.

Police have put together a timeline of his activity on his phone immediately before his disappearance. His last digital footprint was on Austin Street to Magnolia Avenue in Luling at 11:24 p.m.

Dozens of searches have been conducted, but he has never been found.

“Being left a year later without any answers has been difficult,” Kent Landry, Jason Landry's father, said in 2021. “We just want answers. We want the truth. We want to know what happened to our son."
