Ingleside ISD announces Travis Chrisman as new head football coach and athletic director

Ingleside ISD announced in a Friday afternoon release that Travis Chrisman will be the district's new head football coach and athletic director.

Chrisman's hiring is pending the approval of the Ingleside ISD school board, and a special meeting is set for 6 p.m. Feb. 2.

Chrisman, an Ingleside grad, has 11 years of experience as a coach, including two seasons as the head coach at New Diana, where he compiled a 9-12 record in two seasons. Chrisman's most recent position is as the offensive coordinator at Class 5A Boerne Champion. He has also had coaching stops at Wimberley and Marble Falls.

"To be able to come back to a community that gave me so much during my 13 years of living in Ingleside is the opportunity of a lifetime," Chrisman stated in a release.

The release stated Chrisman is expected to start in early February.

"We are confident that coach Chrisman is a leader who will set the bar high and deliver the results that will develop a comprehensive program, which will start with our youth and continue throughout middle school and high school," Ingleside ISD Superintendent Troy Mircovich said in a statement.
