Injured hiker rescued off Mt. Diablo using specialized all-terrain vehicle

(KRON) — An injured hiker was rescued off Mt. Diablo Friday afternoon, according to Contra Costa Fire. Con Fire crews were dispatched to the mountain at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon on a report of a hiker down.

Santa Clara man charged with murdering wife

UTV 11, a specialty all-terrain vehicle used to access difficult terrain was used to locate the hiker. The hiker was rescued and transported off of a Mt. Diablo trail, Con Fire said. The injured hike was transported to a local area hospital.

No details were provided as to the hiker’s condition.
