Injuries Reported After Medical Emergency Sparks Panic at Hamilton Performance in San Francisco Theatre

A medical emergency sparked panic at a performance of the musical Hamilton at San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre on February 15 after some audience members thought there was a shooter in the building, local media reported.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that a number of people fled after some theatergoers saw a woman tended to near the end of the show and misunderstood the situation. Several injuries were reported as a result of the evacuation, including one person who suffered a broken leg.
