Injury Report: Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist) doubtful vs. Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday

During their recent two-game win streak, the Golden State Warriors have been without a key piece in the starting lineup.

Following a vicious dunk attempt at the rim, Kelly Oubre Jr. came crashing to the floor on a fall during the second quarter against the Washington Wizards. Despite finishing the contest with 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting, two assists and six rebounds in 37 minutes, Oubre Jr. has missed games against the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets due to a sore wrist stemming from the fall.

To start Golden State’s road swing, Oubre Jr. is listed as doubtful against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

With Oubre Jr. sidelined, Kent Bazemore has joined Steph Curry in Golden State’s starting backcourt. In two games, the veteran reserve guard has averaged 11.5 points on 42.9% shooting from the field with 4.5 boards, 3.0 assists and 1.5 assists in 33.5 minutes per contest. In three games as a starter this season, Bazemore has notched at least nine or more points.

Although the Warriors will likely be short-handed to start their road trip, the Thunder will still have to handle Golden State’s seven-time All-Star point guard. Curry has been on a scorching hot streak, averaging 38.4 points on 53.5% shooting from the floor with 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists over his last seven games.

The Warriors will travel to Oklahoma City for a tilt with the Thunder on Wednesday at 6 p.m PT.
