Friday the 13th is generally considered an unlucky day due to superstition, but for those in the tattoo scene, it’s the exact opposite. In fact, it’s tradition for select tattoo shops to offer special deals for flash tattoos whenever the legendary day rolls around.

Here are all of the participating Nashville-based and Nashville adjacent tattoo studios to get brand new ink at for less today.

Electric Hand Tattoo

The artists at Electric Hand have teamed up to create a flash sheet with references to iconic horror movie characters and surrealist-inspired art. The color options include black, white and red. Large designs will cost $130, and small designs will cost $75. Cash is preferred.

Fate & Fortune

4982 Lebanon Pike Suite C., Old Hickory, TN 37138

Time: Starts at 12 p.m.; first come, first serve

Three of Fate & Fortune’s resident artists — Blake Alan, Katelyn Stout and Nicolette Madlyne — are offering flashes showcasing their own individual styles for the tattoo holiday. Black and gray tattoos will be available for $80, and color tattoos will be available for $100. Each person can get a maximum of two designs. Both cash and card will be accepted.

Lifealterink Socialclub

Lifealterink Socialclub is offering minimalistic body art for its Friday the 13th sale. Designs include timeless symbols, nature-related images and quirky pop culture references. All tattoos will total $20 — $13 with a $7 tip. Ink can only be placed on arms and legs.

Grace & Glory Tattoo

2484 Old Fort Pkwy.,Murfreesboro, TN 37128

Time: Starts at 9 a.m.; by appointment

Although all 49 Friday the 13th slots with five Grace & Glory artists have filled up, the impressive selection of creative linework, black and gray and color flash tattoos are worth admiring. The clean American traditional stencils were posted as a preview by Grace & Glory prior to the event.

Endless Kreations

101 Old Shackle Island Rd., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075

Time: Starts at 12 p.m.; first come, first serve

The rule is one tattoo per person, and designs can be chosen from the multiple flash sheets choices at Endless Kreations. Tattoos, as drawn originally, will cost $100. If color is requested, the price will be $130. Up to three colors can be used. Piercings for $31 including basic jewelry are also provided. Jewelry upgrades are optional.
