'Ink Master' stars to appear at tattoo convention in Flint
Whether you're sporting a tiny ankle tattoo or a full sleeve, or anything in between, a highly anticipated tattoo convention comes to Flint this weekend which is sure to attract tattoo lovers of all kinds.
Tattoo City Tattoo Convention is an annual event which features hundreds of artists from across Michigan and beyond. This year, the convention will feature celebrity tattoo artists Kyle Dunbar and Big Ceeze of the popular television series "Ink Master."

Beyond the ink, there's plenty of other events for attendants of all ages to enjoy at the competition, including live entertainment, fashion competitions and more. Here's what tattoo fanatics can look forward to:
When and where
Tattoo City Tattoo Convention is Aug. 11-13 at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, located at 3501 Lapeer Road.
Show times
Friday: 2-11 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where to buy tickets
Tickets can be purchased in advance online. Day-of tickets will be available at the door all weekend. Day passes are $30, while weekend passes are $60 and Saturday-Sunday exclusive passes are $45. Children younger than 12 receive free admission with a purchasing adult.
Events
Tattoo City's main event is a weekend-long tattoo contest, with categories ranging from "most unusual" to "best cover up." A Tattoo of the Day will be awarded following each day's events, as well as Best in Show, which boasts a $10,000 prize this year, at the conclusion of the weekend.
