Inland Empire braces for even more snow

As parts of Southern California are beginning to dry out, the Inland Empire is preparing for additional precipitation.

Snow levels are expected to fall as low as 3,000 to 3,500 feet on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, and there is a potential for avalanches above 7,000 feet.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, between 6 inches and 1 foot of snow is expected above 6,000 feet. From 5,000 to 6,000 feet, 3 to 6 inches is expected, while 1 to 3 inches is likely to fall between 4,000 and 5,000 feet. Up to an inch is possible below that.

In response to the conditions, the Bear Valley Unified School District closed all schools on Thursday, as did the Rim of the World Unified School District.
