Inmates accused of murder, burglary escape Jefferson Co. jail

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is reporting two men have escaped from its detention center, including one being held on a capital murder charge.

Officials said the pair were discovered missing at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday from the W.C. “Dub” Brassel Detention Center. Officials said the two men may have escaped within the past 48 hours.

A JCSO official gave descriptions of the pair.

The first man was Jatonia Bryant, who was being held on probable cause for capital murder, officials said. The 23-year-old Bryant is described as standing 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds.

The second man is Noah Roush, who was being held on suspicion of residential burglary and theft of property and was a suspect in a homicide, according to officials. Roush is 22 years old and stands 6-feet 2-inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds and has a scar on the right side of his head.

Officials said both men are considered dangerous and should only be approached by law enforcement.

JCSO officials said the department is working with Pine Bluff Police Department Vice and Narcotics unit, the Arkansas State Police and the Arkansas Department of Corrections to find the men.

Investigators asked that anyone with information about Roush or Bryant, or anyone who helped them in the escape, should contact the JCSO at 870-541-5351 or the Metropolitan Emergency Communication Association at 870-541-5300.
