Inside Amy Schumer is making a comeback after a five-year break.

The comedy sketch show hasn't aired since 2016, and has been on hold following the end of the fourth season.

Schumer, who took time out to focus on other projects, was already contracted to a fifth season that never materialised – but now she's finally ready to make her return.

The show's resurrection – consisting of five special episodes featuring the Emmy-winning comedian – comes as part of a major rebrand for Paramount's streaming service, which will see CBS All Access transform into Paramount+.

Inside Amy Schumer isn't the only Comedy Central series coming back. As part of the rebrand, Paramount will also be introducing a new incarnation of Reno 911 – titled Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon – which is described as a "supersized event based on the long-running Comedy Central series" (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The streamer will also serve as the home of The Weekly Show With Trevor Noah, which will feature the Daily Show star in a six-episode series that focuses on stories across society and speaks to the people behind the headlines.

Additionally, Paramount is planning to relaunch the Beavis and Butt-Head franchise with a brand-new movie that will lead into a series. The film will serve as a follow-up to 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.
