Inside Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin's 'Affair-Proof Marriage'

It was the wedding bell heard round the world - sort of.

The Biebs shocked the world when he married Hailey Baldwin at a New York courthouse in September 2018. Initial reports had fans questioning the legitimacy of the rumor because of the couples' initial silence on the matter. It wasn't until November 2018 - two months later - when Justin confirmed their marriage in an Instagram post where he's seen holding hands with Hailey. His caption contained four simple words: "My wife is awesome."

The Biebers hosted a more traditional wedding ceremony in September 2019. Their lavish South Carolina celebration brought out some of Hollywood's hottest - Kris and Kendall Jenner were in attendance along with Kylie Jenner and daughter Stormi Webster, as well as models Camila Morrone, Joan Smalls, and Justine Skye.

A recent post by Justin shows that - almost a year and a half in - their marriage is still going strong, and he's sharing some of the reading material that he credits to their success.

His Wednesday Instagram story contained pics of three books that he labels as "essential" reading.

One title was His Needs, Her Needs: Building an Affair-Proof Marriage. According to an Amazon product description, author William F. Harley, Jr. "identifies the ten most vital needs of men and women and shows husbands and wives how to satisfy those needs in their spouses." Along with the Bible, Bieber's other textbook-for-life is Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter by Liz Wiseman and Greg McKeown.

Although their Instagram life seems all dreamy and perfect, they pair haven't shied away from publicly speaking about the hardships of marriage.

"We're coming from a really genuine place," Hailey said during a joint-interview with Vogue in 2019. "But we're two young people who are learning as we go." Hailey also said that she is "fighting to do this the right way, to build a healthy relationship."

Justin compliments his wife as being "very logical and structured," claiming that he is the "emotionally unstable one."

"I've always wanted security," he said, "With the lifestyle I live, everything is so uncertain. I need one thing that's certain."

Come to think of it, he hasn't been getting involved in the crazy antics that he was pre-Hailey, so we're glad he's found some stability in the certainty.

"I’m not going to sit here and lie and say it's all a magical fantasy," Hailey continued. "It's always going to be hard. It's a choice. You don't feel it every single day...but there's something beautiful about it anyway."

Looks like the Biebers are in it to win it!

(But can we start a petition to call them the Biebses?)
