Inside Meghan Markle’s Day-to-Night Glam Look for Her Surprise Visit to N.Y.C.

Meghan Markle’s chic maternity style is on display in the Big Apple!

The royal mom-to-be stepped out for lunch on Tuesday in classic New York City style: all black!

Meghan paired her high-collared trapeze coat by legendary vintage designer, Courrèges, with jet black “Nearly Skinny” maternity jeans from maternity brand, Hatch.

She added some contrast with her go-to Stuart Weitzman suede nude pumps and carried the Carolina Herrera Mariola Grey Shopper Tote.

She accessorized her look with her “Herkimer” diamond earrings (which she first wore to Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding!) from one of her favorite jewelry designers, Pippa Small, and a pair of oversized Le Specs sunglasses.

Later that evening, Meghan revamped her look for a night out with friends at Ralph Lauren’s restaurant, The Polo Bar.

She kept her all-black theme going in her Victoria Beckham slim tailored wool coat (the same one she wore on Christmas Day), which she wore with a black fringe scarf, and her Hatch jeans from earlier in the day. She swapped her nude pumps for Tamara Mellon black velvet ‘Kindred’ calf hair boots and carried her Stella McCartney “Falabella” black tote.

Meghan arrived in New York City to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first child with a baby shower attended by close friends, including tennis star Serena Williams, former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, Toronto-based stylist Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson, a Soho House consultant.

The mini stateside homecoming — the former actress hails from Los Angeles, where her mother Doria Ragland still resides — comes shortly before Meghan and Prince Harry are heading to Morocco for a three-day visit highlighting two of their key causes: girls’ education and youth empowerment.
