It's an exciting time because the Inside Soap Awards 2019 are almost here, which means readers can start voting!

This year's awards include some hotly-contested categories, as EastEnders' Danny Dyer goes toe-to-toe with the likes of Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden, Coronation Street's brand new bad boy Mikey North and Hollyoaks hero Adam Woodward, among several others, in the longlist for the Best Actor category.

Competing for Best Actress this year will be the stars of two of Corrie's issue-based stories – Alison King and Katie McGlynn – as well as Hollyoaks' Stephanie Davis, Emmerdale's Isabel Hodgins and EastEnders' Gillian Wright, all of whom have starred in their soaps' own issue-based plots.

Hollyoaks also looks to keep up its momentum from its recent Best British Soap win at the British Soap Awards when it goes up against Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale in the Inside Soap Awards' Best Soap category.
