Inside a Southampton Dinner Celebrating the National Women's History Museum

On June 18, Washington, D.C. took Southampton—kind of. That evening, Cheri Kaufman hosted a dinner at the Southampton Arts Center's Famous Sculpture Garden and Arboretum to celebrate the National Women's History Museum, set to open in Washington, D.C. Attendees—including cohosts Kara Ross and Simone Levinson—enjoyed a dinner catered by Acquolina at a blue-and-white table flanked by busts of Julius Caesar and dotted with table displays created by Graff.

Kaufman, the CEO of CiGIVE and a co-founder of Kaufman Astoria Studios, is the New York chairperson for the museum. She tells T&C, "Would you believe that there are museums for stamps, coins, portraits, and even spies—but none for women. I’m thrilled to announce that this is going to change, and National Women's History Museum will celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women. This museum is going to connect us to our past, give us perspective to understand and appreciate our present, and challenge us to create a legacy for the future.”
