IT Insight: NH Tech Alliance-Uniting Tech Professionals

Founded in 1983 as the New Hampshire High Tech Council, the NH Tech Alliance is 300-plus members strong, representing more than 60,000 workers. The NH Tech Alliance is a statewide technology association dedicated to supporting companies at every stage of growth and development – from startups to established leaders in the global economy. The organization nurtures a vibrant tech ecosystem in NH by building partnerships, enhancing knowledge, and shaping public policy.

From guiding startups as they grow and scale their business in NH, to offering resources to support them, NH Tech Alliance is an incredible resource for tech start-ups all over the state. From financing a start-up, business financial advice, business incubators and accelerators to makerspace and shared space options, NHTA offers a wide variety of resources for everything NH tech related.

If you are looking to connect with your peers, check out the upcoming eBrew, sponsored by NH Tech Alliance and Market Street Talent. Founded in 2000 by the eCoast initiative in Portsmouth, the eBrew is NH’s premier creative/technical networking event. The ebrew is a casual, social event where you can connect with peers within your industry and meet some of the region’s premiere tech sector leaders. The next monthly get-together is July 20 from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Press Room, Portsmouth.

Similar networking opportunities are offered via TechConnect in the Lakes Region and in Concord monthly. Check out the Tech Alliance https://nhtechalliance.org for dates and additional information.

A startup does not become successful in a vacuum. Fortunately, for New Hampshire startups, the NH Tech Alliance is here to connect your startup to some of the top tech companies and supporters in the state – entrepreneurs who are working to build the next generation of great NH tech companies. The next Office Hour for Start-ups is Thursday, June 30, virtually. Register for this via the NHTA website and gain knowledge and expertise from experts within every sector of business.

Sponsored by Cook Little, Business Lawyers for Entrepreneurs, the webinar series on funding your start-up is an invaluable resource. Where to Turn to When Raising Capital, Pitch with Confidence and How to Effectively Spend Capital, is a three-part webinar series that explains different types of funding available, how to perfect your business pitch and lessons from veteran entrepreneurs.

Whether it is BioMed/Tech, focused on relevant services and programs to support biotech, pharma, and health technologies or TechWomen/TechGirls, offering programming to support women in technology and enhance mentorships and STEM with girls, programming abounds at NH Tech Alliance. I am personally looking forward to the TechWomen Power Breakfast in September (more information to follow).

According to Julie Demers, Executive Director, "The Tech Alliance has a long history of supporting startups and entrepreneurs in NH. We're excited to launch this new programming and provide resources to help companies grow and scale here in New Hampshire". We are excited for the upcoming events and continued longevity of the NH Tech Alliance!
