Insomnia Cookies opens second San Diego location in Gaslamp Quarter

SAN DIEGO — In the mood for a sweet treat late night? Well Insomnia Cookies is here to help satisfy that craving by opening a second San Diego location that will be open past midnight every night of the week, with a new location in the North Park area in the works.

Insomnia Cookies is heading to the Gaslamp Quarter this winter with a late night grand opening Saturday, Jan. 27. The warm cookie spot on Fifth Ave. will be open all day and late night for your cookie cravings of favorites like chocolate chunk, red velvet, double chocolate mint, vegan birthday cake and more.

The grand opening Saturday starts at 8 p.m., and you can get a free classic cookie when you visit, no purchase required. If you can’t make it downtown you can still take advantage of the deal with your delivery order. And get free delivery with code — GASLAMP.

Celebrate the new location with giveaways, a prize wheel, milk pong, a DJ and much more. The first 50 customers that show the Insomnia Cookies app in-store will also get a free six pack of assorted classic cookies.

Even better, 15% of in-store sales from the grand opening at the Gaslamp location will be donated to the San Diego Hunger Coalition.

Insomnia Cookies at 542 Fifth Avenue in downtown San Diego will be open the following hours:

  • Sundays — 12 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

  • Mondays — 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

  • Tuesdays — 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

  • Wednesdays — 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

  • Thursdays — 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

  • Fridays — 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

  • Saturdays — 12 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The cookie store is also located in Pacific Beach, with a new location in North Park coming soon.

The new Gaslamp location is hiring part-time cookie crew members, delivery drivers, and shift leaders. Interested applicants and cookie lovers can apply at Careers.InsomniaCookies.com.
