Insomniac’s ‘Spider-Man 2’ Enters Its Bisexual Era With This Beloved Villian
It’s official, the bisexual (black) cat is out of the bag in Spider-Man 2 the latest game in the Insomniac video game series.
Black Cat aka Felicia Hardy, not only has confirmed that like in the comics she is fam, but she has a girlfriend. For those unfamiliar with this member of Spider-man rogues’ gallery, she first came out in 2021 when she kissed her best friend Tamara, who is also a fell a fellow thief (car burglar?) known as Iron Cat.
She appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, a DLC addition to the first game, but this time around she plays a larger role and we learn a bit more about her personal life, and her motivation.
We’ll do our best to avoid spoilers, but here is how it all goes down. Black Cat opens up to Miles Morales following a mission that has him on her tail throughout the streets of New York. When he finally catches up to her he accuses her of having selfish intentions. She surprises the young crime fighter by opening up about what is actually behind her criminal behavior. Black Cat confesses that she's doing it all for her girlfriend who is in Paris and in trouble because of things she had done. Now all she is trying to do is protect the woman she loves.

While we don't know yet who exactly this mystery girlfriend is (perhaps it's Tamara, perhaps it is someone entirely new) what’s exciting is that Insomniac is putting in the effort to make their game more casually inclusive.
