Installation of manhole and sewer main on Holly Street to start Monday

Sep. 21—Starting Monday morning, a Decatur Utilities crew plans to start a three-day project as they install a new sanitary sewer manhole and 8-inch sewer main near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Holly Street Northeast.

This work is scheduled begin 7:30 a.m. daily and continue through 4 p.m. each day. Holly Street will be closed to thru-traffic near the intersection with Sixth Avenue.

The road closure will remain in effect during overnight hours and until the project is complete on Wednesday afternoon.
