New quarterback. New offense. Same old Patriots as they methodically overpowered the Dolphins with more than 200 yards rushing and holding down the Dolphins offense. Not the opener the Dolphins wanted to show things have changed.

The Dolphins can live with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing three interceptions. Don’t like it, but the turnovers can be overcome. What Miami can’t survive is being pushed around consistently on defense, which was the case in Sunday’s season opener against the New England Patriots, who produced 217 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. The Dolphins must do a better job of setting the edge, getting defenders down and containing scrambling quarterbacks. Otherwise, this is going to be a long and painful season.
