Intense Lightning Streaks Across Sky Over Reedley, California
Spectacular bolts of lightning forked across the night sky above Reedley, California – near Fresno – on September 9, as the National Weather Service warned of thunderstorms in the area.
Footage captured by local resident Dan Nourian shows the lightning streaking across the sky in several directions.
“This was a unique opportunity to capture a rare lightning event in Reedley, California,” Nourian told Storyful.
Thursday night’s storm disrupted several high school football games in the area, local news reported, including a Reedley High School game against Mendota High School, which was suspended indefinitely at halftime due to lightning threats. Credit: Dan Nourian via Storyful
