Intense Thunderstorm Blows Through College Park, Maryland

Powerful thunderstorms walloped Maryland on Tuesday afternoon, July 12, leaving thousands without power and downing trees across the College Park area, according to reports.

This video shows wind-driven rain lashing College Park, just north of Washington, DC, on Tuesday. The Maryland city sustained major damage, officials said.

The National Weather Service had warned of winds, damaging hail, and the potential for an isolated tornado.
