Interested in attending a US military academy? Info session is Saturday in Plant City

PLANT CITY — High school students interested in going to college at a U.S. military academy are encouraged to attend Academy Day this Saturday.

An informational session on the various U.S. military service academies will be hosted by the Office of U.S. Congresswoman Laurel Lee on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hillsborough Community College Trinkle Center, 1206 N. Park Road, Plant City, FL, 33563.

Citizens Academy Haines City is taking applications for its Citizens Academy through Monday

The event will provide students with details on the application process, academy requirements and the congressional nomination process for student applicants. Liaison officials from each of the service academies will be on hand to answer questions.
