Interim Athens-Clarke Clerk of Court applications open until Monday

Athens-Clarke County residents who are interested in applying for consideration as the interim Clerk of Court for Athens Clarke County have until 5 p.m. Monday.

The interim clerk will take over for retiring clerk Beverly Logan, who officially leaves the office on May 31.

The interim clerk will serve until a special election later this year fills the post to serve out the remainder of Logan's term that ends on Dec. 31, 2024.

Athens-Clarke County Probate Judge Susan G. Schaffer will appoint the interim clerk.

Those interested in the post must submit a letter of interest, an affidavit of qualifications, and a resume to Judge Schaffer at the county court, 325 East Washington Street, Suite 200.
