Intimate Southern Wedding at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston
I'm quite certain that Magnolia Plantation is a serious contender for the most charming venue in Charleston. It's the epitome of Southern beauty (complete with dripping Spanish moss) and it happens to be the setting for today's very lovely wedding, captured by Stephanie Brazzle. From Stephanie Brazzle... When I met Kristina, the first thing I noticed was how her eyes lit up when she talked about her fiance, Adam. Adam was deployed in the Middle East serving in the United States Armed Forces throughout much of our planning process, so I was there to support Kristina in the decision making process and find ways to weave their personality into their special day.Kristina and Adam were married in the spring at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, surrounded by 40 of their nearest friends and family members. We focused on a color palette of dusty blue, blush and creams to accent the lush greens provided by the historic grounds of the venue, a magical lush garden surrounded by magnolia trees and calling peacocks that roamed the grounds.Kristina and Adam put thought into each detail for their guests, including curated welcome boxes complete with artisan goodies from local vendors, a southern comfort dinner complete with seasonal fare, and personal design details from the hand carved dining chairs, to the specialty table settings provided for each guest. Kristina also kept loved ones who had passed, close to her heart on her wedding day, by way of adding pins of remembered loved ones to her bridal bouquet - and reserving a place among her bridesmaids at the ceremony for a friend who passed away from breast cancer.Kristina and Adam's day was so full of love - they wandered through the gardens sipping cocktails with their friends, ate a candlelit dinner with full view of the grounds, and danced the night away on a southern style wrap-around porch.
