Introducing the Des Moines Register's 2022 All-Iowa boys tennis selections

The Des Moines Register’s All-Iowa boys tennis selections are split up among an all-class Elite Team and an all-class list of honorable mentions.

Ten members comprise the Elite Team, and another 20 make up the honorable mention list. Names are listed in alphabetical order.

Elite team

Brady Adams, sr., Pleasant Valley

One half of Pleasant Valley's top-seeded doubles team, Adams and playing partner Nathan Barlow finished second in the 2A doubles tournament.

Nathan Barlow, sr., Pleasant Valley

The other half of Pleasant Valley's top-seeded doubles team, Barlow and playing partner Brady Adams finished second in the 2A doubles tournament.

Caden Branum, soph., Decorah

Branum was the No. 3 seed in 1A and reached the title match after knocking off No. 2 seed Ethan Moon from North Polk.

Declan Coe, sr., Cedar Rapids Xavier

One half of Cedar Rapids Xavier's top-seeded doubles team, Coe and playing partner Hugh Courter finished first in the 1A doubles tournament.

Hugh Courter, sr., Cedar Rapids Xavier

The other half of Cedar Rapids Xavier's top-seeded doubles team, Courter and playing partner Declan Coe finished first in the 1A doubles tournament.

Jake Dolphin, sr., Pleasant Valley

Dolphin was the No. 3 seed in 2A and reached the championship match, before falling to Lu in two sets.

Brady Horstmann, sr., Cedar Rapids Xavier

The top seed in 1A, Horstmann grinded out a tough championship win over Decorah's Caden Branum.

Daniel Lu, sr., Dowling Catholic

Lu was the top seed at the Class 2A state tournament and showed why. The Maroons senior rolled to the 2A singles title.

Jayden Shin, jr., Iowa City West

One half of Iowa City West's second-seeded doubles team, Shin and playing partner Samir Singh took home the 2A doubles tournament title.

The other half of Iowa City West's second-seeded doubles team, Singh and playing partner Jayden Shin finished first in the 2A doubles tournament.
