If you’re anxious about how the Christmas celebrations will play out during this politically charged festive season, you may want to consider investing in a Brexit tree.
The pre-lit artificial tree from Hayes Garden World comes laden in referendum-inspired decorations with 52% of branches decorated in Leave baubles, and 48% covered in pro-EU trinkets.
A gold divider keeps the two sides separate and a rotating base means you can swivel it according to who’s on your guest list.
Lyndan Orvis, e-commerce director at Hayes Garden World, says: ‘A lot of people are worried that Brexit and the upcoming election will put a dampener on this year’s festivities. We hope the Brexit tree will remind people that whatever your opinion, Christmas still means Christmas.’
The diplomatically decorated tree comes with hand-painted ‘Merry Brexmas’ and ‘All I want for Christmas is EU’ baubles, plus tinsel that switches from Union Jack to EU flags.
The £1000 Brexit tree package also comes with a miniature angel version of Theresa May to sit on top of the tree. But with Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson figures included too, you can decide who should preside over the festive negotiations.
