A mum who wowed Instagram by performing impressive yoga moves while heavily pregnant has upped the ante once again by getting her newborn son in on the act.

Pregnancy yoga normally involves some gentle stretching, mindful relaxation and a heck of a lot of deep breathing. But not if you’re Lizzy Tomber. The new mum took Instagram by storm while heavily pregnant by showing off her amazing acrobatic moves complete with a rather impressive baby bump. And now that her baby is six weeks old she’s taking things up a notch by involving her newborn in the gravity-defying tricks.

The yoga teacher and acrobatics fan first started creating waves on social media by showcasing the incredible lifts she performed with her husband Josh Young. Lizzy and her husband Josh, who run the website Acropedia, have done acroyoga, a blend of yoga and acrobatics, together for the past six years and saw no reason to stop when they found out Lizzy was pregnant.

And now that they’ve welcomed their son David, born February 19, they have begun incorporating their little one into their acrobatic routines.

The result is some amazing images which Lizzy has shared with her 8403 followers on Instagram.

Though she faced some criticism for attempting such complicated moves while pregnant, Lizzy explained that she only did what felt right for her.

“For me, it’s important not to tell other people what they should do and how they should feel, but I’m super happy to share about my experience,” she said in an interview with BabyCenter.

“There are some things, like big pop (moves), where Josh catches my hips with his feet, that we realised, ‘Ok, not going to do that anymore,' no more catching on my belly or hips…but we modified things so I could still take part.

"My doctor said, 'You should do what feels healthy, safe and good for you.’”

And now that their son has arrived, he’s well on his way to becoming a mini-yogi, like his parents, and even has his own Instagram account showing off his moves.

"It is totally a family affair, and we’re excited to get our kid involved. It’s something he’ll just grow up with as a natural part of life,” Lizzy told BabyCenter.

“Lots of people are doing 'airplane' with their kids already. Basically, we just never grew out of doing that.”
