Invasion renewed by Apple TV+ for season 3
Sci-fi ensemble series Invasion has received a season 3 order at Apple TV+.
Premiered in 2021, the series from co-creators Simon Kinberg (X-Men movies, Deadpool, The Martian) and David Weil (Hunters, Citadel) follows an alien invasion from the perspectives of five ordinary people across the globe.
Speaking about the renewal, Kinberg promised season three will be bigger and more emotional than its two predecessors.

"I'm so proud of what we've been able to do with our first two seasons of the show with our partners at Apple TV+ and our cast and crew," he said in a statement (via TVLine).
"This new season will continue to build on the scale, stakes, and propulsion of the Invasion, while keeping our characters front and center, bringing them together in ways that will hopefully surprise and most importantly move our audience, who have been so incredibly supportive and inspiring since day one."
Shown in English, Japanese and Pashto, the multilingual series stars Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland and Tara Moayedi.
Invasion also added Enver Gjokaj (Marvel's Agent Carter), Nedra Marie Taylor (Orange Is the New Black) and Naian González Norvind (Mexican series Amsterdam) to the regular cast for season 2, which streamed its season finale in October last year.

Elsewhere on Apple TV+, the streamer has just debuted the first three episodes of period drama The New Look, starring Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams, Ben Mendelsohn and Juliette Binoche.
The series follows famed fashion designers Coco Chanel, Christian Dior and others in their circle as they changed the fashion industry forever against the backdrop of World War II, with Digital Spy's 2-star review praising the performances but highlighting how the gritty premise "doesn't quite punch through on screen".
The first two seasons of Invasion are available to stream on Apple TV+.
