Investigation continues in Ohio after Shreve children found in 'good health' in California
SHREVE – The three local children who went missing last week were found safe near Gold Run, California, Monday evening by the California Highway Patrol, according to a press release from Shreve Police Chief Ron Kiner.
Isabell Cruz, 11, Remington Cruz, 7, and Wyatt Cruz, 5, appeared to be in "good health" but would be assessed by medical personnel, the statement read. They have since been placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Law enforcement found the children with their mother, Justina Cruz, and her boyfriend, Bryan Godfrey, who complied with police requests.
Last seen in Shreve
The three children were last seen in Shreve around 325 N. Prospect St. at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27. They were reported missing the next morning.
In the days that followed, Shreve Police investigated and learned a dark blue Dodge Caravan with the license plate number JCL3641 could be in California.
Local police notified and coordinated with California law enforcement to find the vehicle.
According to the release, the California Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle fitting the description with an Ohio license plate at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
"This remains an active ongoing investigation and no further details can be released at this time," the statement reads.
Shreve police worked with the Cleveland and Sacramento divisions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Vacaville Police Department and the California Highway Patrol to recover the children.
