Investigation underway after 2-year-old boy found dead in home

CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old boy was found dead in a home in Humbolt Park Wednesday morning.

According to police, the child was found unresponsive in a home in the 900 block of North Harding Avenue around 7:26 a.m. He was transported to Lurie Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are conducting a death investigation. WGN is following the incident and will update as more information is recovered.
