Kathryn "Kate" Conrad has been committed to not only her own development as a student and a leader, but that of her peers as well.

She is regarded as a skilled communicator in the classroom and the hallways of Wesleyan Christian School, where her influence plays a significant role in student government. Her talents are also expressed on stage, where she has performed leading roles in school musicals.

Recently, Kate was selected as one of two Students of the Month in the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise and Patriot Auto Group recognition program.

The Night of Scholars and Champions will be held on May 16 at the Bartlesville Community Center with a VIP reception at the Price Tower at 5:30 p.m. Two outstanding athletes will receive $1,000 scholarships, and one distinguished scholar will win a brand-new car.

It has been a busy year for Kate as a senior. She is a class ambassador and teacher's aide at Tri County Tech and serves as vice president of the National Honor Society. She is also among a small group of students who intern at ConocoPhillips and is active in the Phillips 66 Splash Club as a mentor to younger students as they work to become competitive swimmers.

Volunteering has been a big part of her school career. She leads a student group, student teaches for Vacation Bible School and plays piano on the high school worship team and for her youth group. She is also a volunteer tutor for struggling students and helps clean and rearrange classrooms in her spare time.

Teachers credit Kate with encouraging students to make good decisions and her integrity was highly regarded during the COVID-19 quarantine.
