Invisible Man's Elisabeth Moss calls dark ending "complicated"

Elisabeth Moss has opened up about the "complicated" dark ending of The Invisible Man.
The Handmaid's Tale actress stars in the creepy thriller that is currently scaring up a storm at the global box office, despite its modest budget.
Directed by Leigh Whannell, The Invisible Man sees a woman named Cecilia (Moss) grow increasingly more distressed as she becomes convinced her formerly abusive and deceased boyfriend Adrian (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is in fact alive and tormenting her while wearing an invisible suit.
But what did Moss think of that ending?

To recap: The Invisible Man closes with Cecilia using Adrian's invisible suit against him, killing him while wearing the suit but convincing his household cameras and the outside world that Adrian had indeed died by suicide.
Moss herself thinks the ending is ultimately a "redemptive" one, even if the whole murder part is a little "complicated".
"I don't think you can put a character through all of that and then not have them have some redemption in the end, even if it's complicated," she told USA Today.

"Even if it's a choice that she made that she thinks is her only choice, you have to give that character a win at the end. You have to bring her back from that place and give her her strength back."
Moss added: "You don't want to watch this whole movie and then have her die. That'd be terrible!"
There is also some doubt over a third act twist that sees Adrian's brother Tom wearing the suit, with Adrian claiming that his brother was behind it all and he was being kept hostage.
Moss doesn't buy it though: "The brother did maybe this or that on the side to kind of help things out, but regardless, [Adrian] orchestrated the entire thing. He had the suit, he designed it. He chose to use it in the way that he did. So his brother is one of the victims."
The Invisible Man is in cinemas now.
