iOS 13 GM is now available ahead of next week’s public release

During the huge press conference where Apple unveiled the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple also announced that iOS 13 will be released on September 19th, with iOS 13.1 set to follow on September 30th. Now, just an hour and change after the event’s conclusion, the final beta release of iOS 13 has begun to roll out.

iOS 13 GM, or iOS 13 Gold Master, has now been released to developers. It’s a build that is identical to the one that will be released to the public next week so that developers can iron out any remaining wrinkles ahead of the public release.

As we’re sure you know by now, installing a new iOS 13 or iPadOS beta on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch couldn’t be easier. Just navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and then tap “Download and Install” at the bottom of that page. If you want, you can also install the update through iTunes by connecting your iOS device to a computer. Whichever method you choose, just make sure to back up your device before installing the update.
