Iowa man flown to hospital after motorcycle crash

Sep. 30—A Des Moines, Iowa, man was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash on Friday in Harrison County.

John Gomez, 58, was driving a motorcycle on I-35 eight miles north of Eagleville, Missouri, when he struck an unknown object in the roadway and overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports. Both Gomez and his passenger, Kimberly Gomez, 52, were ejected.

John Gomez was taken to the hospital via Life Net with serious injuries. Kimberly Gomez refused medical treatment at the scene.

Troop H of the MSHP was assisted by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Decatur County Sheriff's Department, Lamoni Police Department and North Harrison first responders.
