Iowa State drops in latest men's basketball polls after going 1-1 last week in Big 12 play

Iowa State men's basketball slipped again in the latest polls, but the Cyclones have an opportunity to bounce back if they can beat Kansas in Lawrence on Tuesday.

Iowa State (13-2, 1-2 in the Big 12 Conference) is ranked No. 16 in the latest Ferris Mowers Men's Basketball Coaches Poll, which was released Monday. Last week, the Cyclones were No. 11. Iowa State is ranked No. 15 in the Associated Press poll this week, down four spots from last week.

Last week, Iowa State had one Big 12 win — against Texas Tech at home on Wednesday — and one loss — at Oklahoma on Saturday.

This week, Iowa State faces No. 10 Kansas (12-2, 1-1 in the Big 12) on Tuesday on the road. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Cyclones return to Hilton Coliseum to face Texas at 1 p.m.
