The senior class of Iowa State's 2021 football team will go down as the best class in the history of the program.

With four consecutive winning seasons in conference play for the first time in over a century, a trip to the 2020 Big 12 championship game, two bowl game victories and more, the group of Cyclones that likely played its last game at Jack Trice Stadium on Friday against TCU is unmatched.

They were also some of coach Matt Campbell's first recruits since arriving in Ames before the 2016 season, and Friday's Senior Day festivities proved to be emotional for the players as well as Campbell.

Tight ends Chase Allen and Charlie Kolar were among the first seniors to go through the ceremony, and Campbell was already emotional. Greg Eisworth and Mike Rose, two all-Big 12 defenders, received big ovations as they went through the ceremony as well.

Finally, Campbell gave a kiss and a long hug to Brock Purdy, who has earned dozens of school record as the most successful quarterback in Iowa State history.
